About the Course

The Master of Computer Application course was formed in the year 2001, is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

The M.C.A. Department helps provide the I.T. and Computer Industry with world-class talent and creates some of the finest software professionals every year. By providing concept-oriented subject knowledge through high-quality teaching t, supplemented with practical training, the Department aims to bring out the brightest minds into the world of computers and technology. The department also focuses on the latest emerging trends in Industry and provides training to the students for the same.

MCA is a full-time degree course with a duration of Two years (Four semesters) whereas MCA (Integrated) is Five years (Ten semesters) course. It covers various aspects of computational theory, programming, algorithm design and optimization, network and database management, mobile technologies, electronics, mathematics, probability, statistics, accounting, and finance. All in all, we can say that no point is being left uncovered to make students get placed in an Industry.

The Department provides various value-added training programs, various activities, placement assistance, and drives to inculcate high technical skills, a culture of teamwork, and leadership qualities for achieving excellence and thereby increasing employability skills. The core values of the department help the students to develop their overall personality and make them worthy technocrats to compete and work at the global level.

Our graduates will be able to

  • To develop/apply knowledge of computing fundamentals, computing specialization, mathematics, and domain knowledge for solving real-world problems.
  • Identify formulated review research literature and analyze complex problems reaching substantial conclusions using first fundamental principles of mathematics, computing science, and relevant domain specific.
  • Ability to design and evaluate systems, components, or processes for complex computing problems that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety and cultural societal, and environmental considerations.
  • Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • Create, select, adapt, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern computing tools including prediction and modeling to complex computing activities, with an understanding of the limitations.
  • Understand and commit to professional ethics and cyber regulations, responsibilities, and norms of professional computing practices.
  • Recognize the need and have the ability to engage in independent learning for continual preparation and development as a computing professional in the broadest context of technological change.
